We anticipate hiring a freelance 2D Motion Designer this year to complement our creative team.  This person is a specialist in 2D animation who will be responsible for creating high quality online assets for client work.  You understand the intricacies of visual and motion design and you’re comfortable translating the project’s concept and goals into magnificently executed deliverables.  You strive for exceptional design fidelity, an effective creative experience, and pixel perfection from start to finish.  This is not a current opening, but if your background aligns to what we are looking for, we will reach out to you directly.

What You’ll Do 
  • Translate creative direction, design comps, technical requirements and business specifications into exceptional digital animations
  • Closely collaborate with project design lead to deliver on the creative vision
  • Move smoothly and quickly between projects with diverse parameters and objectives
  • Animate 2D videos based on approved storyboards
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary project team members to meet timeline and budget needs of the project
  • Present work to the project team with a clear explanation of processes and how design, motion, technical and goals are met

What We’re Looking For
  • Refined design, motion and layout skills, expert knowledge of 2D motion design, character animation, and motion/design software and web implementation tools
  • Expert with Adobe After Effects and proficiency with the Creative Cloud suite
  • Deep understanding of optimization and production processes for digital advertising
  • Excellent time management skills demonstrated by the ability to execute on multiple projects while working within tight timelines
  • BA or MA in Graphic Design, Digital Media Design or Visual Arts preferred, or comparable demonstrated professional experience; and at least 4 years of professional experience in the interactive industry
